The globally-recognised standards body, BSI, has published a case study of AES Engineering/AESSEAL’s journey to achieve Net Zero on all scopes.

BSI carried out the detailed carbon footprint verification against which the group’s Net Zero status was measured, and is now actively promoting our example as one for other organisations to follow.

AES Engineering group and AESSEAL Managing Director Chris Rea says:

We realised that we were probably a pioneer in doing all the detailed calculations, including those involving our supply and value chain, and having them professionally audited in order to show that we have gone beyond Net Zero.

We are delighted that BSI wants to share our experience with other businesses in order to encourage them on their own Net Zero journeys.

BSI says that verification of an organization’s carbon footprint in accordance with the international management systems standard ISO 14064-1 is fundamental to provide credibility and show compliance with the major greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting standards.

“Relying on other businesses to tackle climate change is no longer an option. Each organization must take responsibility for reducing their emissions, and verifying your organization's carbon footprint is a great first step to working towards this”, the organisation adds.

Simon Sheaf, Sustainability Officer at AESSEAL, says that BSI is a globally respected organization that provides skilled assessors with deep understanding of ISO 14064-1. "We’ve greatly valued their expertise and guidance on our Net Zero journey."
