The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Yorkshire Awards celebrate the best examples of architectural design in the region. These awards recognize projects that demonstrate outstanding creativity, functionality and sustainability. Shortlisted projects are judged on architectural excellence, social impact, and environmental responsibility.
Designed in collaboration with Race Cottam Associates, the Factory for the Future was created to support AESSEAL’s business growth in Yorkshire, the company’s birthplace. Sustainability has been the driving force behind the project, ensuring an environmentally conscious build that aligns with AESSEAL’s global commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting green innovation.
One of the most striking features of the Factory for the Future is the 1km Tree Walk, designed to seamlessly integrate manufacturing with nature. This initiative reinforces AESSEAL’s belief that industry does not have to be disruptive to the environment. Instead, manufacturing can be both clean and beautiful, proving that industrial growth and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.
