AESSEAL® has launched a school poetry competition in collaboration with The Poetry Society, focused on inspiring young people to envision a sustainable future.
The initiative, aimed at engaging students between the ages of 5 to 25, will involve schools across Rotherham and the surrounding areas.
The competition is part of AESSEAL's ongoing commitment to promoting sustainability and encouraging creative thinking about environmental issues. By using poetry as a medium, the program hopes to spark imagination and drive conversations about what a sustainable future might look like.
The Poetry Society, the UK's leading poetry organisation, brings over 100 years of experience in fostering a love for poetry. Renowned for its international poetry competitions, educational outreach, and publications like The Poetry Review, The Poetry Society has been at the forefront of championing poetry as a tool for exploration and expression.
Many of their initiatives, including the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award and their Young Poets Network, emphasise environmental themes and aim to inspire curiosity about the natural world.
AESSEAL is excited to be working with The Poetry Society to offer young people a platform where their voices can be heard, encouraging the next generation to think creatively and critically about sustainability through the power of words.
Inspired by; "Have a Heart" poetry
At AESSEAL, we recently released our Have a Heart campaign, which showcased the importance of thinking beyond ourselves and creating a positive impact on our world. The values shared in that campaign resonate deeply with this poetry competition, as both initiatives reflect our passion to champion sustainability.
