Q -Does System Sentry require any cables/wiring?
A - No, System Sentry is a completely wireless device using Bluetooth 5.2 LE and powered by a lithium-ion battery.
Q - How long does the battery last in System Sentry?
A - The typical battery life is in excess of 3 years but can vary with ambient temperature
Q - What regions can System Sentry be sold in?
A - System Sentry currently has Bluetooth certification in UK, Europe, USA & Canada.
Q - What hazardous area certification does System Sentry have?
A - System Sentry currently has ATEX, IECEx & Hazloc certification.
Q - Is there an IOS version of the System Sentry app?
A - No, The System Sentry app is Android only
Q - Does System Sentry work with Machine Sentry?
A - Yes, System Sentry works with both the Machine Sentry app & portal.
Q - Can System Sentry be monitored remotely?
A - Yes, when integrated into Machine Sentry using a gateway. The app alone provides local indication when in Bluetooth range.
Q - How does System Sentry fit onto my 53B system?
A - System Sentry has a ½” NPT male connection. This installs into our accumulator monitoring block that fits to the gas valve stem on the top of our standard 53B bladder accumulators.
Q - Does my existing AESSEAL 53B system need depressurising to install System Sentry?
A -Yes, as the System Sentry is part of the same pressure envelope as the bladder in the accumulator, the system must be depressurised of both barrier fluid and Nitrogen to install System Sentry. This is the case regardless of whether an accumulator monitoring block is already installed.
Q - Can System Sentry be used for applications other than a 53B bladder accumulator?
A - The System Sentry device & app are designed and marketed primarily for use on 53B bladder accumulators. It is however fundamentally a pressure and temperature sensor and could be used as such especially when used with Machine Sentry. The wetted materials of construction are 316/L Stainless Steel & EPDM.
