A Turkish phosphate fertiliser was established following a requirement for Turkey to produce most its own phosphate fertiliser. Forty-four years later in 2018, it received a massive investment of 1.1 billion USD to increase its capacity in order to produce more than 750,000 tons of fertiliser per year.
